Summer is here and so is the new summer youth group schedule. If you click on the calendar to the left it will take you to the full online calendar complete event details and online sign up for each event. Details are still in the works for a few of the events, but suffice it to say... this could be one of the best summers ever to be plugged into Penn Valley Youth.

If you click where it reads "Penn Valley Youth Activity Calendar" at the top or "see all" at the bottom you will link to the full calendar. Just wanted to make sure you didn't miss it. There complete calendars thru November and additional dates through April. Check it out.

It has been a little while since the last post found it's way to the web, so here goes another one. I have been busy getting ready for the welcome retreat this weekend, and I really think you are going to have a great time. I have been working with Wade and Brian L. this week to get some sweet things lined up. We will have some of your old favorites, as well as a few new spins that i am sure will make for a great weekend.
Those of you who might be concerned about the weather, the most recent report that I saw suggested the rain might hit friday and sunday and leave us with a really nice day on saturday. Either way we will have a great time. Anyone remember looking for my wedding ring in the rain on a saturday night a few years ago... or was that on a sunday morning...? I really can't remember but that is no suprise to any of you. My memory filing system is very weak.
Word to the wise. Pack an extra sweat shirt or jacket and at least one extra set of dry clothes. If it does rain you will thank me, if it doesn't, you will forget all about it. (wave of the hand) "These are not the droids you are looking for."
On a more serious note I believe God can use this weekend to be a transformational experience for you and hope you will come with a heart ready and open to all that he has for you.

Hey just a quick announcement. There will be no youth group this week (Sept 6 2006). Youth group will resume next week coordinated with the launch of family night. I hope to see all of you there.

Youth Group will be help @ Pastor Mark's house this week. We will start and close at our normal times 6:00 - 9:00pm. Please plan to be picked up @ 9:00pm. Come dressed for some outside activity. Hope to see you there.
The 2006 Welcome Retreat is right around the corner and you are not going to want to miss it!
